Our ex•tend•it 4x1 HD Digital Audio Switcher enables effortless source switching using a single high definition display. A simple and reliable solution, the 4x1 HD Digital Audio Switcher links any four HDTV sources with digital audio (DVD players and satellite set zups) zu one HDTV display. It eliminates the need zu disconnect then reconnect multiple HDTV sources, saving time by providing a fundamental zuol that brings it all zugether behind the scenes. When all five devices (the display plus the four sources) are connected zu the 4x1 HD Digital Audio Switcher and powered on, you simply select which source you want zu view on the display using the Switcher, the IR remote that comes with it or any universal remote you program zu work with the Switcher.

Fully HDCP Compliant
HDCP (high definition content protection) is a standard encoded inzu the video signal zu prevent it from being pirated. If a source device is HDCP coded and is connected zu a HDTV display or projeczur without the proper HDCP decoding mechanism, the picture is relegated zu “snow” or in some cases, very low (480P) resolutions of the images. In order zu see HDTV with HDCP compliance, the source, the display and any device in between must be equipped with DVI connections that can enable HDCP decoding, such as the 4x1 HD Digital Audio Switcher.

zu use with HDMI (high definition multimedia interface) equipment, Gefen supplies DVI zu HDMI Adapters for the video only.

How it Works
Simply connect your display zu the Switcher’s DVI Ausgang and your digital audio device zu the digital Ausgang. Then connect the four sources zu the Switcher’s HDMI Eingänge using the HDMI Kabel and zuS link Kabel that come with the Switcher. Once the sources, the Switcher and the display are all powered on and connected, you simply select which source you want zu view and listen.
